Lady's finger curry

Ingredients

Chopped Lady's Finger - 1 cup
Raw Bengal gram - 2 Tbsp
chopped onion - 1
tomato - 1/2
corainder powder -1 tsp
red chilli - 2
garlic - 2 pods
salt to taste
oil
mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
tamarind extract - 1 Tbsp

Method

1) Put oil in kadai and add mustard seeds. Add the chopped onion when the mustard starts spluttering and saute till golden brown.
2) Add the raw bengal gram,red chilli and then tomato and saute for few min.
3) Now blend this mixture into a fine paste and keep aside.
4) Fry the chopped lady's finger in a kadai with 1 tsp of oil till the vegetable looses its watery feeling. Amchur powder can also be added to it.
5) Again put oil in kadai and add mustard seeds. Add the garlic and saute for 2 min and then add the fried lady's finger.
6) Now add the ground paste and water as per desire and allow to cook for few min.
7) Add the tamarind extract to the curry when it is almost cooked and saute for 2 min and can be served hot now.
