Fish curry

Ingredients

Fish - 300 gms
Chopped onion - 2
Tomato - 2
corainder powder - 2 tsp
coconut milk - 1/2 cup
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Green chilies - 2
fenugrek seeds - 1/2 tsp
cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
curry leaves
Salt
Oil

To marinate:

Tamarind extract - 1/2 cup
chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
corainder powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp

Method

1) Marinate the fish with the marinade ingredients for atleast 2 hrs.
2) Pour a tsp of oil in a kadai and then add fenugrek and cumin seeds.Add the curry leaves when the spices start to splutter.
3) Add the chillies and then the chopped onion,saute till they become transparent.
4) Add the ginger garlic paste and saute for few min afterwhich the tomatoes are added.
5) Add the corainder powder and saute for few min,then add the marinated fish.
6) Add desired amount of water and allow the fish to cook.
7) After nearly 15 min the curry can be served hot with rice or roti.
