Garlic Chicken Gravy





Ingredients

Boneless Skinless Chicken thighs - 1 lb
Garlic - 8- 10 pods
Onion - 1
Tomato -2
Cloves - 4
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Green Chillies - 2
Yogurt - 2 tsp
Butter - 1/2 tsp

To marinate:

Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt as desired

Method

1. Marinate the chicken with the marinade ingredients for nearly an hour.
2. Fry half onion,green chillies and the garlic pieces and grind them into a fine paste.
3. Put oil in the pan, then add the cumin seeds.When the cumin seeds starts to splutter, add another half of the chopped onion and then when it turns to golden brown add the marinated chicken.
4. After 5 min,add the chopped tomatoes and the previously ground paste. Add nearly 2 cups of water and close the pan with a lid and allow the chicken to cook for few min.
5. When the chicken is half cooked,add yogurt and butter.
6. When chicken is done being cooked,garnish the gravy with coriander leaves and serve hot.
